On Thursday, July 21, 2016, Pacific Sotheby’s International Realty celebrated the much-anticipated grand opening of the firm’s new Global Headquarters in the heart of downtown La Jolla, California. Located at 1111 Prospect Street, the flagship office sits directly across the street from the historic La Valencia Hotel and was designed to showcase the best of San Diego Real Estate to the global audience that visits La Jolla each year.
The “blue” carpet was rolled out to welcome the estimated 250 guests to the 6,600 sq. ft. venue. Guests were greeted by photographers, stilt-walking street performers and live music and enjoyed a globally inspired cuisine and wine pairings. Additionally, party-goers were treated to a TESLA automobile demonstration and test-drives along with the opportunity to view a classic 1913 Rolls Royce Silver Ghost and a vintage Lionel model train collection which were displayed in the office’s public exhibit hall.
With its prominent location, high visibility, digital displays and public interest component, Pacific Sotheby’s International Realty’s Global Headquarters will engage visitors from around the world and let them explore all that San Diego has to offer through a dynamic multi-media gallery experience. “It was important to us to design a dynamic headquarters to showcase the global reach of the Sotheby’s International Realty brand and promote not only our listings and listings from our affiliate offices all over the world, but to also promote the benefits of living in San Diego, to the 50,000 plus annual visitors that flock to La Jolla each year,” says Brian Arrington, CEO, Pacific Sotheby’s International Realty.
Even before stepping into the office, the view from the street is commanding and inviting. The entryway features a 40-foot wide front door that opens onto a multimedia gallery for tourists and locals alike to explore real estate options in all of San Diego County via touch-screen interactive displays. The giant 13-foot wide “jumbotron” and numerous full motion video monitors highlight properties for sale from all of our 29 locations in San Diego county as well as properties across the world.
The flagship office features a unique interactive public venue that will be used to feature a wide array of exhibits to residents and visitors alike. Whether it’s model trains, a classic or exotic car display or exclusive artwork on loan from Sotheby’s Auction House, Pacific Sotheby’s International Realty’s Global Headquarters Exhibit Hall will offer the public an opportunity to interact within the office. Pacific Sotheby’s International Realty’s new International Relations Division, which is headed by Lupe L. Soto and was created to further expand the firm’s global footprint, is also based at the Global Headquarters.

Designed with the help of San Diego based designers, San Diego Office Design under the guidance of Tamara Romero and her talented team. The office combines clean contemporary office spaces with an open kitchen concept typically found in Sillicon Valley technology companies and better reflects the mobile nature of the modern real estate agent. “This new office is the physical space where our global online marketing capabilities are made tactile to the public,” says Chris Crocker, Chief Operating Officer, Pacific Sotheby’s Realty. “We are showcasing the extensive digital advertising capabilities we currently provide to our clients in a somatic setting so that the true depth of our digital marketing capabilities can be experienced in person. We are not just on the forefront of digital marketing, we are setting a new standard for others to follow.”
