Another week is gone, yet for San Diego, the activities and events throughout the county, just keep coming. This week, throughout San Diego, you may want to discover the popular Kaaboo Del Mar Festival, powerboat racing in Mission Beach, and even a game of poker. The week started off however with the 16th anniversary of September 11, 2001.
Several September 11 events happened across the county on Monday, including one hosted by Pacific Sotheby’s International Realty Broker Wendy Moldow at the Escondido Police & Fire Headquarters. The event invited Senior Citizens to visit with and thank local First Responders, view a dramatic work of 9/11 art and share memories.

September 15-17, Kaaboo Del Mar Festival. Del Mar Fairgrounds. Referred to as the ultimate MIXexperince with 3 days, 7 stages and 100 plus music acts, this is a must for anyone who enjoys the outdoors, great music and lots of other activities such as art exhibits, pampering, food and drinks.
September 16, Julian Music Festival at Menghini Winery, 1:00-7:00.The Julian Music Festival is an “end of summer celebration” of over 40 years of music in Julian. You will not only find Bluegrass but an Americana mix of Western ballads and Classic Folk Music. Adult $15 in advance, $20 at the gate. Seniors (62+) $12 in advance, $18 at the gate. Children 15 and under are free with paid adult.
September 16, Landlubbers Day: Seaport Village 12:00-4:00. Dress like a pirate, talk like a pirate and celebrate all things pirate while enjoying contests, arts and crafts, live music and street performances. San Diego’s biggest international Talk Like A Pirate Day!
