There is a new trend in the divorce industry. The professionals who hold the families’ hands going through the divorce process are CONSCIOUSLY focusing on making the impact of the split less traumatic for the whole family.

As a founding board member of the San Diego Chapter of the National Association of Divorce Professionals and a Real Estate Collaboration Specialist – Divorce (RCS-D), Pacific Sotheby’s Realty’s Realtor Mark Schauder collaborates with a wide range of specialists to more positively support the divorce process.

“My expertise has helped divorcing homeowners in preserving their credit and future home ownership opportunities, while at the same time navigating the unique aspects of divorce real estate transactions,” said Schauder.

Whether it is conscious uncoupling, collaborative mediation or litigation, The National Association of Divorce Professionals and its members believe that a smoother transition is possible for those divorcing and that families going through the process should have a softer, gentler landing.

According to the Institute of Divorce Financial Analysts (IDFA), 22% of divorcing couples attribute financial and money issues as the reason for the split. So selling the home is often a big source of angst for the couple, which is a good reason to enlist the services of a real estate divorce specialist.

As a member of The National Association of Divorce Professionals, we are at the forefront of the trend leading the movement to change the way families experience divorce. “Having an expert guide you through the process of selling your biggest financial asset can take the tension out of an already stressful situation,” said Schauder.

National Association of Divorce Professional’s in-person and online platform brings together all divorce industry professionals who believe in educating and networking with each other in order to better serve their clients. At monthly meetings, chapter members share their expertise with each other through presentations called “NADP EDTalks.”

For example, an attorney learns from an accountant how recent tax changes may affect their client. Or, a real estate professional learns from a psychologist the affects that staging a home may have on a couple’s young children.
