Pacific Sotheby’s International Realty welcomes Edward J.G. Mracek and Marty Vusich to their La Jolla offices. Known as the “Dynamic Duo,” Ed and Marty bring over 66 years of real estate experience with them as they join their new brokerage. Two of the most successful real estate agents in the San Diego Coastal Area, and especially within La Jolla, Ed and Marty have enjoyed a history of remarkable professional accomplishments. Alongside their real estate achievements, both men are engaged in a considerable number of community service ventures and civic, scientific and historical institutions in the community.

Ed Mracek has been a top salesperson at every brokerage for which he’s worked and is a member of the Top Producers Group of La Jolla Realtors. He is the youngest recipient in the history of the La Jolla Real Estate Brokers’ Association (REBA) McNaught-Davis/Knox Award, given annually to the member who best exemplifies the qualities of “Personal Integrity, Community Activity, Service to the Real Estate Profession, Salesmanship and Cooperation with Associates.” Over his career, he has represented numerous clients, from entry-level buyers to those buying in high end neighborhoods like La Jolla Farms and La Jolla’s Gold Coast. He possesses extensive knowledge of all Coastal and Metropolitan San Diego neighborhoods, as well as the “Platinum Triangle” of La Jolla, Del Mar and Rancho Santa Fe and the North County Coastal Areas. Ed can also lay claim to the highest combined all-time La Jolla residential purchase of $26,150,000, accomplished on the ocean front of La Jolla Shores. He has been named a Five-Star Real Estate Agent by San Diego Magazine in 2013, 2014 and 2015 and has been published in the San Diego Union-Tribune and Los Angeles Times for his celebrity and record-setting sales.

Ed is involved with an impressive array of organizations. He is a graduate of UCLA, LEAD San Diego and the FBI Citizens Academy and has served in a leadership capacity with the SDAR Board of Directors, La Jolla Community Planning Association, The Lincoln Club of San Diego, and City of San Diego International Affairs Board. Marty Vusich has worked in the La Jolla real estate market since 1983 and, prior to moving to San Diego, was a licensed real estate broker in West Los Angeles and the San Fernando Valley.  A California native who has called La Jolla home for over 30 years, Marty is an emeritus member of the Top Producers Group of La Jolla Realtors and is a past long term Trustee of the La Jolla Community Planning Association and chaired its Miscellaneous Permits and Variance Committee. With an extensive background in new construction and remodeling, and having personally built or renovated nearly 100 homes in his lifetime, Marty is an expert in seeing the potential in properties and knowing all the nuances of the permitting process, which has been of great benefit to his clients throughout his career.
