Point Loma Architecture Series Presents: Streamline Moderne Architecture San Diego

Streamline Moderne Architecture. The style is characterized by rounded corners, simplified forms, walls of glass block, aerodynamic curves and nautical features. It reflected the frugal times of the Depression and was influenced by industrial
designs of appliances, cars, ships and trains. The style is found in residences, commercial buildings and even the marquee on a movie theatre!

Architectural Historian Kiley Wallace will speak about Streamline Moderne Architecture in Point Loma on January 30, 2018, 5-7pm at the Point Loma Assembly. Kiley Wallace is Vice President and Principal Architectural Historian
of Legacy 106, the prolific San Diego historic preservation and archaeology consulting firm established in 2006.

The event is the 9th in the Point Loma Architecture Series founded and sponsored by Pacific Sotheby’s International Realty agents, Caroline Glasner and Susan Diamond to explore the architectural history of Point Loma with experts in the field.
