On Monday, August 29th, Pacific Sotheby’s International Realty held a special Architectural event at San Diego’s world renowned Museum of Contemporary Art located in the heart of La Jolla, California. The event, a two-part lecture and the final in the Architectural Specialist Series offered by Pacific Sotheby’s International Realty’s Architectural Division, focused on contemporary architecture and architects as well as aspects of sustainable design and green architecture.
Jan Horn, Executive Director of Pacific Sotheby’s International Realty’s Architectural Division was the featured speaker at the event. Horn, who has been featured as a guest speaker at the Museum of Architecture, the Museum of Modern Art in La Jolla, the Prada Museum and the New School of Architecture in San Diego, believes with the multitude of architecturally significant properties in San Diego, there is a tremendous responsibility to provide specialized representation and marketing for these listings.
“Our Architectural Division enables us to raise the bar on the marketing of architectural houses and utilizes the connections we have cultivated in the architecture community,” says Horn. “Through our certification program, our agents are able to provide their clients with a significant advantage in the representation of their unique architectural homes.”
Pacific Sotheby’s International Realty’s is the only firm in San Diego to offer an Architectural Certification Program. This is a unique curriculum that instructs and equips their real estate agents with this specialized area of knowledge.
The event was well-attended by both real estate professionals and members of the community and provided a unique look at the many styles of contemporary design and sustainable architecture in our community.
