More than a dozen key delegates from Pacific Sotheby’s International Realty joined with representatives from across the Sotheby’s International Realty network at the Sotheby’s Hong Kong Autumn Sales 2015. The 2015 Autumn Sales, which were held Oct. 4 to 7, at the Convention and Exhibition Centre in Hong Kong, China, saw 2,974 lots sold, achieving $342.2 million (USD) in sales.
The five-day event provided a forum for Sotheby’s International Realty representatives to interact with potential Asian investors, Auction House executives and clientele as well as afforded the opportunity for agents to develop their referral network with Sotheby’s International Realty agents throughout the Asian and International market. “Those who attended gained key insights into the Asian market and overseas buyers. We are proud to offer our network members the opportunity to take part in this important yearly sales event,” said Philip White, president and chief executive officer, Sotheby’s International Realty Affiliates LLC.
The Sotheby’s Hong Kong Autumn Sales Event provided an opportunity for agents to showcase their premier San Diego listings to this critical and qualified audience of potential buyers and sellers. “Our partnership with the Sotheby’s brand allows us the unique ability to put our clients directly in front of investors and brokers from around the world,” says Brian Arrington, CEO, Pacific Sotheby’s International Realty. In the U.S., the Chinese are now the second-largest foreign buyers of homes, and the Asian/Oceania sector now accounts for over 50% of the International clients purchasing homes in the state of California, according to the National Association of Realtors.
In addition to auction related events that took place within the Convention and Exhibition Centre, Sotheby’s International Realty delegates attended several networking events throughout the city of Hong Kong. These events enabled agents to gain a better understanding of the people and culture in Hong Kong as well as learn what buyers and investors feel is most important in their overseas investments.
“The ability to offer our agents and their clients the opportunity to expose their listings to Sotheby’s exclusive clientele provides us with a valuable point of difference in the global real estate market,” according to Steve Games, Chairman of the Board, Pacific Sotheby’s International Realty. “These international relationships and marketing opportunities are something that no other real estate brokerage in San Diego is able to provide.”
As part of the Sotheby’s International Realty brand, Pacific Sotheby’s International Realty is invited to attend the Sotheby’s auction events each year in Hong Kong, New York and London. The next group of delegates from San Diego will be attending the Sotheby’s London Spring Sales 2016.
